Three Unexpected Ways That You Can Make Money Off of Your Book

It may sound counterintuitive, but making money from your “paper book” is the last thing I want an aspiring author to be thinking about.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with daydreaming about books flying off shelves—and money flying into your pocket. But I’ve been in the book business long enough to know that “making buckets of money on paper book sales” is a fantasy for the typical author.

A book is a low-price-point item, after all. You have to sell tens of thousands of them to feel like you hit the financial jackpot from book sales alone. And unless you know tens of thousands of people, your “paper” book sales are likely to be more modest.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t plan to generate a robust income with your book! In fact, with some creative thinking (and advanced planning) you can do exactly that.

By planning multiple streams of income around your book, you can gain financial traction more quickly than with paper book sales alone.

In this week’s video I share three unexpected ways that you can make money off of your book. In it, you’ll learn:

  • The fastest growing corner of the publishing market—and how you can get in on the action
  • How to make money while your book travels the world (so to speak!)
  • How letting people “test-drive” your book can generate more sales
  • Bonus: A special FAQ download full of more money-making info!

Please join me for a glimpse into some new and interesting income strategies that I hope you’ll consider!

  1. Thank You Kelly for this information. I love your blog and video contents, they are very helpful for me. This one is great synchronicity as I just started looking into the possibility of writing to generate passive income. I feel I am on the right track at the right time as the universe affirms and continued to bring the tools and teachers like yourself to help me realized my dreams. I am grateful; to have come across your path and to be the recipient of your gifts. May you have abundance and prosperity through out your life time. Namaste!
